Life drawings - Session #2 - 02

5 minutes from life with pencil, in my A3 sketchbook.

Have done heaps of life drawing and gesture drawing practise the past year, and am putting them up here to try and show some of my progression. I think it's important to show how vital continued practise is. Apart from life drawing classes, I use the awesome sites www.quickposes.com/ and artists.pixelovely.com/practic… to study while I'm at home. They're really great resources to use where you can put in exactly how long you want to spend on each pose - 1 or 2 minutes is best for quick studies, while 10 - 15 minute studies is better for long studies - and then just draw away. It's a great tool and learning the fundamentals is really the best way to go - I reccomend it for any kind of artist out there.
