Heaven Hell and Humanity

A uni project to make a set of 3 metaphor illustrations. I chose to do 3 album covers that fit together to make one image. The devil is supposed to represent Hell - evil, anger, violence, the angel is supposed to represent Heaven - sympathy, optimism and peace while the man is supposed to represent humanity and one's struggle with good and evil, sadness and happiness.

The idea with the album covers was to have each album a different mood of music - the Hell album the heaviest and rockiest, the Humanity album a balance between heavy and soft tracks, and the Heaven album full of peaceful optimistic tracks. I wanted Heaven to be last so that I could have a happy ending to the concept haha.

Done in Photoshop CS5 with my wacom tablet.
