Description

Another 1 of 3 illustrations done for the band Winterfold, all depicting the hooded character going through the varying states of despondency, feelings of loss and hopelessness - at an apocalyptic scale.

Be sure to check out Winterfold's Facebook page for more!
They've also got their official EP album launch on November 8th next month in Perth, here's the event for the gig: www.facebook.com/events/714817…

Artwork painted in Photoshop CS5 - many hours
with my WACOM intuos3 tablet.

I love your work and think this is a really solid comp. To jump straight into the critique, I'd fix the fingers on his right hand, they're just a bit too far apart and angled a bit oddly. His left hand isn't so much the issue. Outside of just general tightening of certain things (like the tire to the right and the roots of the tree behind it) I think you could maybe toss in some "god rays" from the light above the water shooting down past the character (which would also give you some light to cast beam like shadows coming off of him towards the camera. The pic as a whole might use a lil bump in saturation, but then again you could be going for a muddy water vibe. I think the pic is great, but I know you could push yourself just a bit more and make it really fucking awesome. My 2 cents man, good work as usual though!
